It is no longer news that 2023 Presidential Election in Nigeria, had come and gone. The ripples, trauma are still being felt in all quarters.
Some are still in delusional disbelieve and spinning all sorts to justify why their preferred candidates should have won.
Of all the groups yet to come to terms with reality on ground, is the Christian Church. No, a fraction of the whole, particularly the Pentecostal arm, who led a candidate by the nose and kept playing Assistant Jesus, instead of going into the mucky field of politics to canvass for votes as prescribed by political party constitution.
I have listened with repulsion statement by a group led by Pastor Sarah, claiming to be Nigerian Christian Elders Coalition.
I was shocked but a little digging, relieved me of the shock. Pastor Sarah of Family Worship Centre Wuye, is partisan and was neck deep involved with Pastor Tunde Bakare of Save Nigeria Group. Others on the table during the press statement by this Nigerian Christian Elders Coalition, are all partisan and cannot by their ages biologically and spiritually, pass as Christian Elders, no matter how you stretch that definition.
Another lone wolf, crying himself hoax and sore, is Pastor Enenche of Dunamis Abuja. The more I listen to his frustration and the Bible passages he has being quoting to give one of the losers hope, I laugh at his partial application of the principles of crowning, sustaining a principality in the Bible. Someone should wake him up and tell him that the Bible had been used to justify both just and unjust actions and no passage of the Bible, apart from those words of Jesus written in red, is worth the ink that Chinese printers used to publish it.

The Old Testament he has being quoting, is the recorded history of the Jews and hardly applicable in a democracy. Without telling him of the state of Israel under Benjamin Netanyahu. Let me remind him that Abraham was also the father of Ishmael. Ishmael is believed to be the father of Arabs. The Arabs through Islam, also lay claim to God-Allah and hove revelations in the Quran given to Prophet Mohammed, on how to sustain a Crown(territory) once given to them by Allah.
In my estate, I am sandwiched between a Church and a Mosque. This last week, I have heard-forcefully, sermons by these two entities on the just concluded election. My understanding is this, the Muslim has accepted the election as the Will of Allah and the faithfuls are urged to be law abiding and let the losers go to Court.
A faction of noisy but minority Christians are in denial, refusing to accept it as the Will of God. They are conditionally accepting the Tribunal option but still stoking the embers of violence, should the Tribunal not go their way.
Their Pastors are digging deep into the Old Testament to fish for passages that will give the losers hope and maybe get them to pay more offering for divination than hire a team of lawyers and prosecute the matter as prescribed in Nigeria’s Electoral Act 2022 and 1999 Constitution.
For me who is not inclined to neither, I urge adherents of this two mental poison, to know that, there are Africans, whose ancestors were here before the white colored impostors came either in a ship or the back of camels to impose religion with violence on us.
We are not partisan and we warn all adherents of this two sides of Abraham, engaged in siblings’ rivalry not to burn Nigeria and if they must, they should burn one another and allow us to peacefully reverence our ancestors and quietly take care of our environment.
