Comrade Ayodele Adewale, APC Organizing Secretary, Lagos State Chapter; Joined the matriarch of Alhaji Kafaru Oluwole Tinubu dynasty Chief (Mrs.) Bintu Fatima Omosefe Tinubu in celebration of her 80th Birthday Anniversary.On July 2nd, 2023, history was made at the prestigious Eko Hotel as Alhaja Bintu Fatima Tinubu, the Iyalode of Lagos, was honored on her 80th birthday anniversary. The celebration witnessed the presence of esteemed guests, including The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who had earlier paid a visit to the family home of Iyalode Bintu Tinubu to wish her a happy birthday. On arrival he met Ajia Abah Awolowo-Folawiyo and Mr. Segun Awolowo her son. The Governor of Lagos State; Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and his wife later joined Dr. Obafemi Kadiri Hamzat, Deputy Governor of Lagos State and his wife were at the Eko Hotel, venue of the birthday celebration. During the event, Mr. Wale Tinubu, an influential figure and mogul in the oil & gas industry, and CEO of Oando, praised his mother by sharing her inspiring life journey.
He spoke about how she became a renowned business woman and her remarkable achievements as a successful businesswoman. He further mentioned the affectionate relationship his mother Chief Mrs. Bintu Fatima Tinubu shared with his late father.
Mr. Tinubu humorously mentioned how their mother is a prayerful woman and disciplinarian.
Iyalode Tinubu, the daughter of a high-ranking traditional official, third in command to the Oba of Benin Kingdom, also took the opportunity to reflect on her early life, recounting her experiences growing up without a mother, as her mother died very early in life.
She shared details of how she and her only sister worked hard to build their selves. She also mentioned how she met her late husband and how President Bola Ahmed Tinubu sought her permission before entering the political arena, and explained how he wanted her to inform the family before venturing into politics. It was an unforgettable night filled with nostalgia and warmth.
The renowned King Sunny Ade, the king of juju music, enthralled the guests with his mesmerizing performance, creating an atmosphere of joy and delight.
During the event well-wishers and guests took the opportunity to express their heartfelt congratulations and good wishes for Alhaja Bintu Fatima Tinubu. The atmosphere was filled with warm greetings, admiration, good food and drinks and prayers for her continued good health, happiness, and success.
