The Governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Dist. Senator Hope Uzodima, in the exercise of the powers conferred on him, by Section 27 (1) of the MAGISTRATES’ COURT LAW CAP 82 VOLUME V LAWS OF EASTERN NIGERIA 1963 AS AMENDED, AND APPLICABLE IN IMO STATE AND ALL OTHER POWERS, has singed the enabling law increasing the monetary jurisdiction of the Magistrate Courts in Imo State as contained in the attached Order. 
This instrument is expected to have positive influence on litigation in Imo State and decongest the High Courts.
