Where Is Your God?

Gods, Spirits, Angels and Demons are territorial and do not posses any omnipresence quality. Despite this territorial limitation, they do interact with their co-gods and divinity, to achieve result in territories that are not theirs.
No Igbo God, can effectively fight, protect or reach an Igbo son outside Igbo land, without first consulting, negotiating with the gods in the territory, where he seeks to perform.
This explains why native doctors, first and foremost will seek to know where you want the charm directed at.
Even the God of the Jews, made it clear that you cannot go into a house to plunder, without first binding the strong man of the house. (The Gospel of Mark 3:27.
This is also the foundation for the Deliverance Ministry of most Pentecostal Churches-they dare not commence a crusade in any village, without first meeting the traditional ruler of the place, at times, they even invite him to their crusade ground.
This courtesy visit and his cabinet’s subsequent attendance, is a green light from the gods of the land for the foreign god to come in.
This was as it was during the arrival of the European Missionaries. Areas they met fierce resistance from the territorial gods, their evangelism was stunted.When you enter a new town, even if you carried bits of your local deity, it will only perform limited roles until he gets permission from the gods of the land where you sojourn.   

Some leave their Agwu at home and move to town. Periodically they go home on pilgrimage to renew their covenant, get a new lease of protection and relocate back to town, carrying a piece of him or her-Christians and Muslims also do this.
Your God is in your village, the land of your birth and can only protect you, if you are at peace with the deities of the new land, where you are staying. When they gather at their realm, your God, will ask his co-God, how is my daughter or son? If you are a serial, unrepentant abominator in your new town, your God would be told to warn you.
If you persist, you will for sure, not prosper in that land and may even lose your life as your God, cannot help you in foreign land, where you have chosen to desiccate their law and custom.
